Colorado Springs, CO—The newest location in Freddy’s expansion explosion opens today at 5825 Stetson Hills Parkway in Colorado Springs.
The first area location in Monument opened in January this year on Jackson Creek Parkway. “The response from our guests has been humbling and heartwarming,” commented franchise operator Kyle Gerstner.
“It makes us proud to look out across the dining room and see families enjoying a quick, cooked-to-order steakbuger, young people chatting over a basket of chili-cheese fries, or a senior couple sharing a turtle sundae,” reflected franchise partner Adam Wessley. “Freddy’s is a special place and we look forward to growing with the Colorado Springs community.”
The new end-cap site, at the corner of Stetson Hills Parkway and Powers Boulevard, offers indoor and patio seating as well as drive-thru service. With today’s opening, there are now eight Freddy’s in Colorado and, after opening four stores in the past 8 days, 72 Freddy’s restaurants nationwide. A third Colorado Springs site is scheduled to open near Garden of the Gods by the end of this year.
“Freddy’s service model and premium quality menu items fit the families of today,” commented Freddy’s COO Scott Redler. “At the heart of our expansion is a true commitment to our guests and our ongoing efforts to provide a welcoming environment in the cleanest restaurants in the market. That was our goal on day one of this concept and that is our goal today—almost ten years later.”
Co-founded by Scott Redler and Bill, Randy and Freddy Simon, Freddy’s opened its first location on west 21st Street in Wichita during 2002, offering a unique combination of cooked-to-order steakburgers, Chicago dogs, and other savory items along with its signature desserts prepared with premium frozen custard made fresh throughout the day in each store. Freddy’s founders operate six locations in the Wichita Metro area and two in the Kansas City market. Sixty franchise units serve other areas of Kansas and Missouri as well as Arizona, California, Colorado, Iowa, Nebraska, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. In 2012, Freddy’s was included in Entrepreneur Magazine’s Franchise 500 and QSR Magazine’s 10 Best Franchise Deals. Freddy’s has also been listed as the Fifth Fastest Growing Chain Restaurant in the United States and Canada by Chain Store Guide, a sister publication to Nation’s Restaurant News. Recently, Freddy’s was recognized by Technomics as the 5th fastest growing burger concept in the country. In the local community of the company’s founding, Freddy’s is a recipient of the 2011 Best in Business Award from the Wichita Business Journal and has repeatedly won first place Readers’ Choice Awards in multiple categories from the Wichita Eagle.
